De-Genius Olivet College, Ota, has emerged the overall best school for year 2024 with its Bio-gas and composite homemade machine, using waste food as raw material, to generate cooking gas and fertiliser.
The school was adjudged the best in the project category exhibition organised by Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Ogun State chapter, as part of activities for its yearly convention.
The school would represent the state at the national level for another competition scheduled to hold in August.
The school proprietor, Ipoola Omisore, commended the students and their teachers for the feat, while also thanking parents for supporting the college in achieving the enviable height.
“This is a great work of God and we are grateful for such an awesome feat. Thanks to all our parents who believed in the goal and released their children,” Omisore stated.
