General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has dedicated a new edifice of the RCCG, Jesus House Parish in Abuja, with a call on Nigerians to seek the face of God.

This came as Senior Pastor of RCCG, Jesus House Parish, Pat-Akem Vingir, maintained that the Church has played a significant role in sustaining Nigeria.

Speaking to journalists after dedication of the building, yesterday, Vingir said: The Church is the salt of the earth. If you remove the Church from Nigeria, you won’t have Nigeria. If the Church were not in Nigeria, doing what it is doing, serving as the light of the world and the salt of the earth, the degradation would have been massive. Without the Church, many young men and women would have been lost. If you remove the church from Nigeria, Nigeria will collapse.”

The cleric said the desire of the Church is for the nation to prosper and for Nigerians to enjoy prosperity, even as he urged government to put policies in place to harness the potentials of youths.

According to him, “we have a youth bulge. Seventy per cent of our population is youths, and we can’t allow this huge number to waste. Nigerian youths are doing great things around the world. And if they are given the opportunity, they will transform the country.”

Vingir said the magnificent five-storey building, which houses the church and offices, was built with a view to having a suitable place for worship, in line with marching order from the General Overseer to plant churches aplenty.

Earlier, in a sermon, Adeboye told the congregation that if they wanted their joy to be full, they should dwell in the house of God, adding that the house of God is a place for healing, deliverance and restoration.
