Burna Boy Fires Veiled Shots At Brymo Amid Feud

Afrobeat singer Burna Boy has thrown cryptic shade at fellow musician Brymo over a controversial interview where he claimed to be better than the Grammy winner.

In a direct jab at Brymo, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story, declaring, “At this point, they do and say anything to get at the king. Werey dey sing Yoruba proverb music for us. When K1 and Saheed Osupa dem still dey carry us trabaye.”

Brymo claimed that he is superior in vocal prowess and songwriting skills over Burna Boy.

“I will rather go to hell than get signed by Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy. Listen, my parents are at home and I am the only child. I’m the one that go out to hustle and will be sending them money,” Brymo said.

“I don’t carry anyone of them to follow me around. I am a grown man”. “My father don’t give me anything, he doesn’t even borrow me jet to pose around.”

The two singers have been at odds since September of 2023, when Brymo openly denounced Burna Boy, calling him “very fake” and “very unoriginal.”

He also accused Burna Boy of song theft, claiming that his tracks “City Boys” and “I Told Them” sampled the title track of Brymo’s forthcoming album, “Macabre.”

Burna Boy has not responded directly to Brymo’s accusations, but his recent freestyle lyrics suggest that he is aware of them. The phrase “Hustle hard make you no fall off like Brymo” was a clear reference to Brymo.

Brymo has responded to Burna Boy’s freestyle on social media, calling him a “foolish boy with talentless lyrics.” He has also accused Burna Boy of being insecure and jealous of his success.
