Britney Spears lands a publishing deal estimated at US$15m. The memoir is said to have a detailed tale on her rise to fame and also her family’s relationship which includes stories of her conservatorship that lasted for almost 14 years.

The book deal, which has been described as “the biggest of all time” comes months after the singer fought for her freedom after years of being under her father’s conservatorship.

In an interview, the singer said “I’ve been in shock. I am traumatised,… I just want my life back.”

In September, a judge called off the conservatorship against Britney and it was finally lifted in November after which Spears said her family “should all be in jail” for the “demoralising and degrading” experience she had to go through.

Recently, Spears and her sister Jamie Lynn have publicly had an ongoing family feud where Britney condemned her sister for mentioning Britney’s mental health issues in trying to promote her (Jamie Lynn) own memoir.

Jamie Lynn went on to describe Britney’s behaviour as erratic and paranoid claiming that Britney once trapped them in a room holding a knife.

Britney’s new book deal comes as a clap back to sister’s claims and her financial and social ordeal during her conservatorship.
