The office of the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has warned the public about a scam in which fraudsters are impersonating the Speaker to defraud innocent citizens.

The Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.
Ebhomele said the scammers used various phone numbers, including +2347071411808 and +2348055254272, to contact victims, informing them of a non-existent meeting and providing codes.

He stated, “We have earlier sent out messages warning Nigerians against falling prey.
“Please, join in reporting this number to the appropriate authorities.”

Ebhomele noted that the message is to further reiterate the speaker’s stand against criminal minds who aim at swindling innocent people.
