In the official teaser for Warner Bros.’ “Barbie,” Margot Robbie transforms into a well-known doll Barbie. Oscar-nominated Robbie is the highlight of the cast, which also features a muscular Ryan Gosling as Ken, Barbie’s boyfriend.
In the movie, there are more characters besides the two actors. For instance, Dua Lipa stars as the mermaid version of Barbie alongside numerous other performers who play various variations of the well-known doll.
Barbie’s entire world—from the fantasy home to the convertible car—is depicted in the trailer.
In addition, there is a love story between Barbie and Ken.
Every character received a poster and a description, with the Kens essentially being “just Ken” and the Barbies having a variety of awards.
“Barbie” is set to open in theatres on Friday, July 21, 2023.
Robbie’s Barbie was first introduced to the world in the first “Barbie” trailer, which also included a reference to Stanley Kubrik’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” but it didn’t give away too much about the cast or plot. Since then, it has come to light that Barbie and Ken have actually been transplanted into the outside world and have to deal with the challenges of no longer being dolls.
“Barbie,” which Gerwig co-wrote with her husband, director Noah Baumbach, was directed by Gerwig. Gerwig admitted that when taking on the eagerly anticipated project, she was a little nervous and a little terrified saying, saying, “That feeling that I had was knowing that it would be really interesting terror. Usually, that’s where the best stuff is. I am terrified of that. Anything where you’re like, ‘This could be a career-ender,’ then you’re like, ‘OK, I probably should do it.’”
