Babcock varsity, British Council train students on digital skills

Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, has partnered with the British Council and two other organisations to train students on various digital skills under the institution’s centre for open distance and e-learning.


They were trained in areas such as web design, 3D animation, graphics design, full stack development, network security and advanced data analysis, among others.

The director of the centre, Prof. Mobolanle Sotunsa, in a statement, said the centre received a training grant from the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) last year, to carry out the training.

She said the centre had trained about 100 learners in less than three years of securing approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run Masters in Business Administration (MBA)and degree programmes.

The don further said there is groundwork for course materials and resources in the 10 new undergraduate courses, including nursing, among others.
