Atiku Abubakar pays condolence visit to Orji Uzor Kalu over wife’s death.

Former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has paid a condolence visit to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over the death of his wife, Mrs. Ifeoma Ada Kalu.

“I received on condolence visit this afternoon the Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at my residence,” Kalu tweeted.

“I thank the former Vice President and all his team for the warm visit.”

Uzor Kalu lost his wife on April and held a service of songs for his late former wife on April 13.

The family held an open casket viewing ceremony for her at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, North Carolina, in the United States of America (USA).


He was seen with his children and family members wearing black attires to mourn the demise of his wife at the age of 61.

Kalu married Ifeoma Ada Menakaya in December 1989 in his hometown of Igbere, Abia State.

He has four children namely Neya Uzor Kalu, Michael Uzor Kalu, Olivia Uzor Kalu and Nicole Uzor Kalu.

Kalu currently serves as the Chief Whip of the Senate. He was Abia State governor from 1999 to 2007.
