Amotekun launches operation safe ground in Ondo

Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, has launched ‘Operation Safe Ground’ across various parts of the state to prevent the activities of criminals in the state.

The commander of the corps in the state, Adetunji Adeleye, said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa authorised the operation to ensure that residents of the state carry out their businesses without fear of criminals.

Adeleye, who disclosed this while parading 48 suspected criminals in the state, maintained that the operation became imperative due to complaints received over the activities of miscreants and criminals across the state.

He said that the commissioning of the operation safe ground will lead to the creation of more control points in every street in major towns of the state to curb the activities of miscreants.

He assured the public that the corps will continue in its strive to ensure the protection of lives and properties of good citizens at all times. He further revealed that the corps is committed to protecting the citizens during the forthcoming Islamic festival with the deployment of 1000 men.
