Akeredolu’s death monumental loss to Southwest, says Ondo Amotekun commander

Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, has described the sudden death of the late ex-Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as a huge and monumental loss not only to the Southwest but to the entire country.

Adeleye, who was also the Special Adviser to Akeredolu on Security Matters, described Akeredolu as a bold and courageous leader who thrives to ensure that the Southwest is secured.

According to the Amotekun Commander, the late Akeredolu, through the establishment of the Amotekun Corps, has etched his name in history, which he said will be heard by generations yet to come.

He said: “He is a man of unequal integrity, a dogged fighter for justice, and a beacon of courage who fought hard to ensure that the people of the state and the entire Southwest are secured through the formation of the Amotekun Corps.

“The late Akeredolu proved to be a special being who has written his name in gold as a man who rallied around his people in the face of adversity.

“A fearless and courageous fighter. A god-fearing statesman and an advocate for democratic principles who left when he was needed most.

“His passion for the infrastructural and industrial development of the Sunshine State, which has started yielding fruitful results, will remain evergreen in the history of the state.

“In this moment of grief, my family and I commiserate with Akeredolu’s family, people, and government of Ondo State, as well as the entire Owo kingdom, over the demise of our illustrious son, a fantastic role model.”
