While acknowledging the shift in the institution’s mandate due to its upgrade, Dr. Agena reaffirmed the commitment to preparing students for Direct Entry admission into universities. He highlighted the success of notable Nigerians who have excelled after completing the IJMB programme.

Dr. Agena also revealed that the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has tasked him with transforming the Polytechnic into a leading technical and vocational institution. The goal is to produce graduates who are self-reliant and capable of meeting the state’s industrial needs.

He urged staff and students to rise to the challenge and encouraged parents, guardians, and prospective students to enrol in the IJMB programme for a unique pathway to university admission.
