Actor Jonathan Majors Faces Two New Abuse Allegations

Marvel actor Jonathan Majors has found himself embroiled in a fresh controversy as two women have come forward with new allegations of physical and emotional abuse against him.

The women, Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, claimed to have dated Majors between 2013 and 2019. They accused the actor of abusing and manipulating them during their relationships with him.

The accusations shed light on a pattern of alleged misconduct and volatile behaviour by the actor.

According to the New York Times report, which also includes interviews with 20 other individuals, Majors has been described as having a “history of volatility.”

Several female co-workers on the set of the HBO series “Lovecraft Country” reportedly complained about his confrontational demeanour, prompting concerns to be raised with the company.

Duncan alleged both physical and emotional abuse, while Hooper alleged emotional abuse.
They both women Majors as a controlling and threatening presence who isolated them from friends and career pursuits.

In response to the allegations, Priya Chaudhry, Jonathan Majors’ lawyer, acknowledged that the relationships with Duncan and Hooper were toxic and admitted that hurtful things were said.

However, Chaudhry denied most of the claims of physical abuse and stated that Majors was unaware of the HBO complaint.

Majors was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment stemming from an incident with his ex-partner Grace Jabbari in March 2023. The charges carry a potential prison sentence of up to one year.

But the sentencing was delayed to April 8 after a recent hearing.
