Fans eager for news on Rihanna’s highly anticipated ninth studio album have asked A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s partner, about the status of her upcoming album.

Adding fuel to the anticipation, recent photos surfaced on X showing Rihanna leaving Lendit Studio in Paris, accompanied by her crew and choreographers. It is rumoured that she was filming a music video for the much-anticipated album.

“She’s working on it,” ASAP Rocky told the eager fans.

Rihanna, whose last album “Anti” was released in 2016, had previously hinted at a reggae-inspired project in an interview with Vogue.

She also confirmed on Instagram that the album would drop in December 2019. But no word has been heard from Riri since then.

While awaiting the arrival of “R9,” Rihanna has remained occupied with various ventures, including her successful Fenty Beauty makeup brand and Savage X Fenty lingerie line.

Additionally, she graced the stage during the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show in 2023 and bagged an Oscar nomination with the single “Lift Me Up,” which was a soundtrack to the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in 2022, marking her first song release in six years.

In her personal life, Rihanna and Rocky welcomed two sons, RZA and Riot, in May 2022 and August 2023, respectively.

In October 2023, rumours emerged that the Grammy winner is gearing up for a world tour scheduled for 2024/2025, following a partnership deal with Live Nation.

Now, as the year 2024 unfolds, fans are hopeful that Rihanna will make her long-awaited return to music.
